AccessForms2Web (PHP and MySQL Editon) - AccessForms2Web (PHP and MySQL Editon) is an application to convert Microsoft Access databases (mdb) and MS Access Forms to AJAX based WEB page using PHP and MySQL. Now you can easily convert forms and their elements to Web page, filling form fields with data from the fields of your Access tables. During conversion elements' position, color pallette and fields type are saved. You have an opportunity to place your MS Access forms at Web page directly via FTP connection or save your forms to a local folder at your computer for future uploading. AccessForms2Web supports Unicode that allows you to make language special symbols displayed correctly. The program gives users an opportunity to select a table type: MyISAM, HEAP, BDB or ISAM. The software performs converting of Primary keys and Indexes. There is an ability to save data to PHP script or to a dump file that allows you to get over the restrictions on access to MySQL database if any. Sessions support allows you to save all your settings and restore them afterwards. You can organize application work using Interactive (GUI) mode as well as work through command line. Agreement states the terms and conditions upon which DMSoft Technologies

offers to license the software together with all related documentation and

accompanying items including, but not limited to, the executable programs,

drivers, libraries and data files associated with such programs

1. License. DMSoft Technologies grants to you ("Licensee") a

nonexclusive, nontransferable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use this

version of the Software.

2. Copyright. The Software is owned by DMSoft Technologies and is

3. One Archival Copy. You may make one (1) archival copy of the

review of accessforms2web

It worked OK (did throw one error), I was unable to varify the results as the database I was testing on required many more than converts than trial allows.
The resulting web interface was crude, and would have required many more hours of work, maybe you could add an option for including a style sheet during the process, or at least provide 3 or more style options.

The process I will go through to convert this access database to mysql/php on linux wil be to use the mysql gui tools to migrate the data/create the tables, I'll then setup odbc for the access database to use and remove the old tables, still using the access forms, then, after I've got the working forms access forms will be deleted.
Queries would be intergrated into the php pages.

what was a good feature I found in another application was that it migrated the data from forms within access to mysql, (id didnt do form convertion) but renamed the existing forms so the access database could work with mysql via odbc. this would be a transition step, but would at least mean that there is a path, rather than doing the whole lot in one go.

Anyhow, hope this feedback will help you in further developing your product.

I liked your product, but I can't adopt it because our environment is a bit different. I use Oracle and ASP.NET.
